Why Casinos are Under Fire
When you think about it - really think about, the concept of a central place where people can unwind, relax, play a few games, and be with loved ones is not bad at all. In fact, it's probably one of the best inventions there ever was.
Casinos are also not just for playing casino games and gambling. There are other things that one can do in casinos. Watch shows for instance and have good food. People can go dancing in casinos or relax in several casino hotels.
True, games and gambling are a staple in casinos but people who don't want to gamble can still go and have fun. People even get married in casinos! The point is that there are more things one can do in casinos than just gamble their money away - which the casinos get blamed for.
When one observes the goings-on in casinos, one will be awed and amazed at how fast everything happens here. The moods of people shift so quickly from being carefree and joyful to glum and sullen - often quick-tempered - all in a matter of only a couple of minutes.
Considering your observations, it's actually not the casino that forced, tempted or cajoled these people to go from being happy to being dejected. It's the people's reactions to what was going on around them.
Casinos are under fire for all the wrong reasons. Casinos are one of the happiest places on earth this is why people keep coming back. The consequence of this is that people tend to lose money when they frequent casinos. But, it's not their fault they're good at what they do - meaning, the casinos.
It's like blaming the doctor when someone gets hooked on prescription medicine. It's not the doctor's fault the person got hooked; especially since it's obvious that the person started taking more than what was prescribed.
Why casinos are under fire remains a big debate from two opposing sides. Others just want someone to blame for people's misfortunes; still others just want to render casinos illegal because of the after-effects gambling has on people.
Bottom line is that casinos shouldn't be under fire for being operational and providing some form of entertainment to people. If anything, all the casinos ever provided people who visit them is a respite from their mundane lives.
It's not that live or online casinos are all good or all bad; and gamblers are also all good or all bad. There is a line somewhere that just needs to be drawn - a meeting in the middle that will make everyone happy.
